We are thrilled to announce that Regina is moving to 100% in-person instruction beginning on Monday, March 8, 2021, the first day of the 4th Quarter. After much deliberation and planning, we are confident that we can provide a safe environment for our students and staff while welcoming them back full time. This return date allows our community a week of hybrid instruction after winter break (February 22-27) for anyone who is planning on traveling or gathering in groups outside of their immediate households during that time. In addition, many of our staff will be fully vaccinated by March 8.
We are committed to adhering to the safety protocols put in place at the beginning of the school year. Temperature checks will be maintained for all students and staff entering the building. Masks are mandatory except while eating or drinking. Classrooms and other spaces used by the community will be cleaned in between classes and thoroughly disinfected after school by our maintenance staff. Hand sanitizing stations are positioned throughout the building and water bottle filling stations are available while drinking fountains are off-limits. As part of our safety protocol, you should still notify the Attendance Desk If your daughter has tested positive for COVID, displays COVID symptoms, or has been directly exposed to the virus.
If you have not responded to our survey or have changed your decision regarding your choice of 100% in-person or 100% virtual, please notify the Main Office as soon as possible so we can continue to plan for class sizes. Some teachers will be moved to larger spaces if their rooms do not accommodate the student numbers so it is imperative that we have the most up-to-date information regarding who will be attending face-to-face and who will continue virtually.
As we get closer to March 8, we will keep you informed of the latest information regarding the transition. We sincerely appreciate your support, prayers, and encouragement as we continue to weather this storm and move to 100% in-person instruction. The beauty of a storm is that there is a rainbow at the end and our rainbow is coming! We look forward to the upcoming weeks and pray that we all remain healthy and safe!
