Christian Service
I wanted to take this opportunity to
introduce myself. I am Mrs. Sagert, an alumna of 2001. This is
my first year on staff at Regina, and one of my responsibilities
is the Christian Community Service Coordinator. I know you are
familiar with the program, and very little has changed this
year. I would just like to give a short refresher of our
program, and also let you know about some small changes.
As Reginites, you already know how this
program works. Students must complete 60 hours of Christian
Community Service as a graduation requirement. Upon successful
completion of all program components, students receive ½ credit
in Religious Studies.
Students may perform service are Regina, in
their places of worship, and for nonprofit organizations in the
community. At least ten (10) service hours must be completed for
a nonprofit organization at the community level. Christian
Community Service Hour Documentation Forms are to be completed
by the student and service organization supervisor and faxed or
mailed directly from the organization. Students should keep a
log of completed service hours, and that record will appear on
semester report cards. Students are required to compose five
written reflections considering their service. SOPHOMORES: 1st

It’s never too early or too late to begin
thinking about your service. Please feel free to come see me
with any questions or suggestions you may have.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sagert
