Charities

Regina High School Student Council has been involved with serving a charitable organization every month.  The result is that our students have organized and assisted at least nine charities per school year. Our annual and most successful charity is our November Thanksgiving Food Drive. In 2007 we collected over $10,000 in food and monetary donations for  6 different charities. In December we collected teddy bears for, “Please Donate a Teddy Bear to a Kid with Cancer.” Once again, the student body and the student council united and made the teddy bear drive another successful project.  In January the student council held a Cocoa Cram during the week of our exams. The money was donated to the MASC charity, Alternatives In Motion.  Regina’s Spirit Week theme is Harry Potter.  With much thought on what our March service project should be; a council member proposed to support the Macomb Literacy. With no hesitation, the council was ambitious to engage in such a beneficial charity.
